On Saturday July 9th, First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Child Life Disaster Services, Healing Reigns, Baptist Health Madisonville and other community organizations sponsored the SUNNY Day Camp at the Dawson Springs 4H Center. In attendance were approximately 30 children and 20 volunteers. This camp was open to all tornado-effected elementary-aged children with the goal of helping them heal through their shared experience. They participated in arts & crafts, went canoeing, interacted with therapy horses, and enjoyed a pool party.
